Default Turn signals intermittantly dont work

Guys a couple times a day my turn signals just wont work, no green flashing dash arrows, no anything.
But the hazard lights will work and I'll get both green arrows flashing for hazards.
Also, during a period of non working signals, if I hit the brakes with the turn signal engaged the brake light on that side will not come on.
Example, right turn signal on + step on brake = no right brake light

Default Bi-pass cable

Had the same issue a year ago. I bought the Bi-pass cable from Richard @ Corvette Enhancements and the issue is totally gone. The cable costs $60 and takes 20 min's to install. Give Richard a call@1-800-946-4929 and explain your problem. He'll give you good advise!

It sounds like your emergency flasher is going bad. The grounds for that circut all go through the flasher, another GM great design. It is less than $45.00 from the dealership. There are quite a few write ups with pictures to show you how to, on this board. It took me about half an hour to do mine. No problems since. Mine began with the same issues that you and many others describe.

I have no idea what a $60.00 by-pass cable even is or whay it is used for?

You can either replace the flasher switch or do the relay mentioned above. The relay bypasses the stock switch and is great if you'd ever add led tailights as it also eliminates the hyperflash common with the led tailights

Your hazard switch has gone bad Happened to me years ago. I had it replaced under warranty and I believe they had to pull the dash, but I know there's a shortcut that's been posted on here somewhere.

Default turn signals

Ever now and then just push your 4 way flasher switch several times. Seems that it needs to be used to keep the turn signals working.

^ Yes, that means the hazard switch is failing.

^ Correct... but again it won't fix the root of the issue.
