Probably an over full situation. If you didn't bring it to a dealer or shop that knows how to change fluid on these cars, chances are they overfilled it. Filling it is a condition of trans fluid heat and running the trans thur the gears. An overfull condition will normally show itself during a high heat/extreme usage situation when the fluid will vent out of the overflow and show up on the rear of the car just over center on the right.. If its leaking elsewhere, you may have a different problem.
As far as I can see it's coming from the vent, to the right as you said. Just seems odd that it started after 3 months! Trans temp is around 185f That checkvalve on the vent line does that have anything to do with it???.......Pat

Was anyone driving it extremely hard, like a son?
Its just that, a check valve. Its designed to let fluid out but not the air in as that contaminates trans fluid, which is nothing more that a type of hydraulic fluid. If you have a manual, check the fluid level or do a search to see the correct parameters to check the fluid.
