Default Crankcase Vented Oil Cap>>help.

I have the vented oil cap from ECS. My problem is its to tall. I have a custom hood on my C5. Does anyone have a link to a place that may have a lower vented breather for an Ls1 motor?
Thanks for any help!

so your custom hood restricts instead of providing more room?

Unfortunetly yes it does. Here are some pics, Chris at ECS was able to make me a bracket to lower the SC. Its a 67 stinger style hood with aluminum panels covered with carbon fiber now (not shown in pics). This is where the problem comes from. Nothing that ECS did (they have been great). I have the mod bug with this car, so everything that should work does not (of course). All the breathers I am finding stick up to tall. Any help would be appreciated

How about a remote breather? Maybe tee off the valve cover or filler neck with braided hose to a breather/catch tank.

Is the breather in your pic a push-in type? It looks like a hole has been drilled into a stock oil fill cap and a rubber grommet has been installed.
