He says you really can't feel the missing torque. But he would prefer not to give it back until it's right. Now that's a professional.
That sounds like Mike! :yesnod: He will not release the car until it is RIGHT!

I had Lingenfelter install their stage II turbo & Baer/Alcon brakes on my 2000 FRC.

No problems. Can't think of anything that I would have done differently.

I second REDGAR on the Vette Doctors. I went with them for my top-end install, and they were very professional, and their work is bullet-proof. I'm going back to them for my 3.73 and clutch install, as well.

Have to agree with Buckmaster. Nick, Barry and Wade at ARE (Agostino Racing Engines) are all super guys to deal with. They do terrific work at very reasonable prices. Definitely worth a look!

In the southeast you cannot beat Norris Motorsports. He did my package (see sig below). Highly ethical, great quality of work, and an all around good guy. I was researching Tuners on the Forum and never, ever read anything negative about Norris Motorsports. I am totally, completely satisfied.

The Vette Doctors did most of what is listed below. If they didn't do t I did it myself. My second choice would be DRM but there far away but I gt parts from them.

John Shiels - The Vette Doctors all the way.

I have to say I am VERY impressed with the engine work on my car. I just got it back before Christmas after I tore up my gears and synchros. They did some tweaking on my engine and I never dreamed it would run, start, idle or accelerate as good as it does. Everyone who drives it, especially the guys who know how hard it is to get it right, loves the car. I've tried every little trick to get her to stumble off idle and not a budge. She holds steady no matter what I throw at her. I am the customer from Hell and I'll tell you they never once blew off my questions or concerns. What's amazing is I was happy with the third program they stuck in my car. It ran great and made a decent amount of power. Carmen and Denis insisted on getting more from my car and they did. There is nothing better than having the ability to do in house tuning. I'm sure there are many out there that have to wait days for each program. My power is up and she pulls hard from 2000 rpm, never mind 4000. My only regret is that I didn't have all the work done at once. I had it done in stages and it takes more time and money to do it that way. :smash:  :seeya

Mike Norris has some real postives:
1- He was a C5 Tech for GM, so he understands the C5 from GM's perspective.
2- His personal commitment to quality & performance.
3- He warranties his work & there is no BSing if yoy have a problem.
4- There have been dozens of very postitive posts from his numerous customers.
5- He is easy to talk to about what is the 'best mod' for you.
6- When you talk with him, you can tell that he is not trying to 'sell you' on anything. He saved me $$$ by letting me know that certain mods are not necessarily the best bang-for-the-buck.
7- He is 20 minutes from Disney World. Drop off your car & go on vacation.
Another happily satisfied customer of Mike and Norris Motorsports. See sig for times...

DRM did all my mods 3 years ago, including 383 'stroker, brakes, coolers, suspension, cage, exhaust, radiator, seats, harnesses, Halon fire system, etc.

Car has 40,000 miles, 3 One Laps of America, 75+ open track days, always running in the fastest group. Has never failed to bring me home either on track or highway.

DRM people have been very helpful, even replaced 1st 'stroker' for oil consumption on their warranty.

If you want an engine, or a drag car see ARE or MTI, but if you want a complete road race package by one of the best chassis tuners in the country, call DRM.

I didn't want just another tuner car, so I went with Mallet. They helped GM design the LS-1 and the LS-6 and continue to develop new technology for the engine. They race what they build.

Don't expect cheap and don't expect a quick turn around. Chuck takes the time to be available to you both before and after your car is complete. He builds cars slowly and carefully and he take time off to test what he builds (he likes to race :) ). But once you get your car, you won't lose time and money getting someone else to complete what the tuner didn't finish right, because your car will run right from the very beginning.

You'll see from my site I went for street torque rather than high horsepower, so don't conclude that you can't get HP from Mallett if thats what you want. I need to pass CA emissions, and I want immediate torque under normal driving (2 to 3 thou RPM) conditions.

I've used VETTEWRENCH and I've had nothing but great service and work from Brian :yesnod:

He's put in my TNT nitrous kit, Z06 side vents, White faced guages, Oil changes and a bunch of misc. stuff.

More to come the next few months :D
