You are basically just unbolting the old rubber line from the caliper and section that connects to the brake line itself. There is a metal clip that you need to pry off with a flat head screwdriver. Once removed, I put a vacuum cap on the line so all the fluid doesn't drip everywhere while I get the new line in place.
The new SS lines usually have lower torque ratings on the bolts so be careful. Install the new copper crush washers from the kit.
Follow the brake bleed sequence for your year vette. Don't let the master cylinder run dry.
Check for leaks. If all goes well, depending on the age of the rubber lines you may notice a slightly firmer pedal, especially when you really get on the brakes.
