Default Tire pressure sensor and wheel question

I have a '99 FRC. I picked up a set of '01 Z06 wheels. I plan on swapping over the tire pressure sensors from my stock wheels over to the "new to me" set. Will the sensors from my '99 wheels fit and seal in the '01 wheels? What should I replace? o-ring? outside nut? I'm trying not to run into any snags when I swap the wheels. I know others have put Z06 wheels on FRC's but don't know if they eliminated the sensors or something. A little help please.
Thanks.

Are the diameters of the older and newer sensors the same? I'm trying to get this set up and done by Friday. Help!

Your 99 has the old style sensors that were used from 1997-2000.
They will, however, fit your Z06 wheels without any problems.

The o-ring is replacable only on the old style sensor, and is a common hardware store item. Someone on the Forum may know the exact size
you need. The 2001-2004 sensors have the seal built into the valve stem, and they're not replacable.

Mounting nuts are the same for both style C5 sensors.

The old style sensors are larger, but have the same stem size as the new style.

Perfect! That's exactly the information I was looking to find. Thanks!

I have a slow leak ~ 1lb per week on a rear tire...I'm sure it's the O-ring. I want it to go away with the new wheels as it drives me nuts.

Put a light coating of silicone grease on the O-rings, to help them seal better, when you replace them.

Default sensor swaps

all you have to do is replace the o-rings with #9 o-rings from Lowes or Home Depot. Very cheap and they work.
