I have a new set of F45 shocks and actuators for our car. The current shocks are probably due for replacement but still are working fine. Is there any special procedure for replacing these shocks. Our car has no codes for the F45 system in history and I don't want to create any installing the new ones.

No -- it's pretty straight forward -- like changing the "normal" shocks. Obviosuly the wheels have to come off, then it's easy.
The only difference is unplugging and plugging in the wiring harness.
As to your "?" issue ... what operating system and character set are you using ??? Character set issues get ugly really quickly ....
I was in Europe attending a database conference a few years ago and standing next to a coworker who was talking to a customer. Customer says "What happens if I have a database in Germany running on a Unix system using a German character set (umlaut supported) and a user in Norway inputs a customer address using an Apple computer .... what does a user in China see as the address on his Windows computer ....????"
As my buddy turned to me for help I ran screaming from the room ....
THE reason English (US/UK) is becoming (may even already be) the language of the world is because of computers ..... picture a "Chinese" keyboard ..... approximately 40,000 keys ????? Not gonna happen ....
English and its character set is the language of the world ....
Haha, Id be runnin' too!!
As for my system....Ive got a laptop (bought last spring) with Vista...its all stock
Also, when my '?' turn to those E's I can no longer hit ALT + Left arrow for the back button.

But what are "actuators"?
Actuators may be incorrect, but that is what the frame mounted boxes that the shocks plug into were labeled when I purchased them. I am not sure if I have to replace both as a set. I was told they are for each specific corner of the car. Is that correct?

I believe those are suspension position sensors, and they are specific to each corner of the car.
If you need some, I have an F55 ESC (sitting on my workbench), and 4 of those sensors that need to come off of my car.

The only thing I replaced was what came with the kit. It included instructions (simple), four shocks, one computer, and four new wiring harnesses. Everything was wrench, plug-and-play. No programming, no codes, nothing else. Took an afternoon.
