Default Marker light question

OK, so I have melted through a second right front marker light. Is there something that is causing this? I did a search without much luck but I know I have heard about this before.

Can't help as to why except the 194 bulb is too close to the plastic lens. I'd recommend putting in LED bulbs. They don't produce enough heat to melt even ice cream.

It isnt the 194, I already have LED lights there, it is the big 2 stage bulb. I just aquired some stainless steel to patch over the hole...I dont think that any light bulb will burn through that.

My bad, I figured marker light was a side marker. But I have a solution and explanation. Unless I get this wrong too. hehe Anyway that is your DRL. Those bulbs burn wayyy hot. Mine melted the sockets, Not to the point I need to replace them but I pulled the #2 fuse under the hood and killed them.

And then I installed switchback LEDs that change from white to yellow. Very kool.

Man I can't help you convince the wife. Like Nike says, Just do it! Not sure how you can hide the cash though cause LEDs are like crack, you can't get enough. Tail lights $220. The 4 side markers and license plate lights under $20. Front Switchback turn signals $55. An LED flasher bypass relay $50.

And if that wasn't bad enough, Sequential rear turn signals $100. and the a 3rd brake light blink smart flasher $30. HID head lights $95. HID Fogs another $95.

Yes it's alot of money but the lights are all brighter, more brilliant, use less current, produce little if any heat, light faster, and are more reliable.
