Can only fill tank 3/4 full
Have searched but can't find an explanation for this.
Replaced left tank after a failure in the white cross-over pipe connector plastic welded into the tank.
After fighting the gauge reading empty issue with techron, I can only fill the tank up to a 3/4 reading on the gas gauge. The automatic shutoff at the pump seems to work fine. The gas backs up the filler neck to set this off and then looks like it seeps on down into the tank.
I get just a little over 15 gallons pumped in. Do I have a line kinked somewhere?
Gauge works fine on down to empty.
Thanks for any ideas here. I still don't completely understand the FFS system.

I don't know if this is part of your problem but it is worth taking a look... this is about an upgraded filler hose because the original caused gas pumps to shut off prematurely,

Thanks, I did see this but don't believe its the problem. The filler neck is a straight, wide, round hose. Don't see how it can be made to let any more gas flow through it than wht it is now. There is no problem filling up to the 3/4 mark. It's fast and normal. But after pumping @15 gallons the gas backs up the neck and trips the auto shutoff as designed.
Need to know where its bottlenecking to prevent getting three more gallons in there.
Thanks!

it would seem to me that if there were a bottleneck it would appear before 15 gal. i would investigate this improved filler hose a little more. since there is gas backing up into the hose and you can fill full velocity until 15 gal. there may actually be a pressure back up problem. never had experience with problem, though. just trying to pass along a thought.
