Default NEED ADVICE: 3200 Stall Converter???

I've read nearly every post about torque converters. I'm looking for some advice about the "streeability"/"drivability" of a 3200 stall converter.

I have a 2006 C6 A6 vert with a 6 lb. Procharger. I periodically go to the track. It currently runs 11.30's @ 124-125 on MT DR's. It's an everyday driver, but mostly less than 20 miles per day. I periodically drive it on trips of 200 miles or longer (Houston to Austin).

I'm looking for 10.90's so I'm considering the Yank 3200, but only because I was informed by Yank that they discontinued the Yank 2800 because people were burning them up--they were just a re-flashed Cadillac converter and wouldn't hold up.

Can someone fill me in about the drivability with a 3200 and whether it's a good choice for my application. I want to keep the car streetable and enjoyable to drive, but would like to be able to launch the car and increase performance.

I posted this here since there are many more C5's with 3200 torque converters than guys with C6s. Thanks.

I think you really need to post over in C6. Hang on and I'll tell you why.

I have a C5 with a Yank SS3200 and 3.42 gears. I absolutely love it. As for street manors, put it this way, I was out driving today, wife asked to drive since she hardly drives the car. Her only comment was that the car felt "smoother". Only thing you really can tell that it's not a stock converter is the lock-up, much more noticeable.

However,
I do read a lot of posts over in C6 since I'm still considering adding a new C6 to the stable. I've read some posts there that the A6 doesn't play too well with aftermarket converters. My technical side is telling me it's , but I have seen it come up a few times. I'd do a search to see what you can find, then call some reputable tuner shops (like ECS).

I appreciate the feedback. I've also heard the same thing about problems with the A6 and converters with higher stall speeds. I was mainly concerned about the driving manners during normal driving. I plan on a cam swap so a converter is really a must for me anyway. I just wanted to get some feedback from someone with experinece. I posted the same thread on the C6 website and have gotten one response, which was positive. Just want to make a good decision. Thanks.

Fekin' lovely! I wonder if they knew it was a POS when I bought mine from them 6 months ago.
