Default h/c and tune ??'s

i just put a tsp228r and prc 5.3 stage 2 heads on my car with a set of tsp long tubes. tsp says tune required for autos, is it ok to drive the car with a tune for a while? i know ill get codes for the rear o2 sensors i just want to make sure the car isnt gonna run super lean and fry something. i have 42# injectors, should i put them in or use the stock ones until i get a tune schedualed? i really want to drive the car this weekend but cant get on a dyno for at least a week. but im not gonna chance it if im gonna f something up.

Good questions!

I just did my H/C change with larger injectors. If your going to just putt around with the old injectors I would say "OK". Do not get into the throttle! You only need the bigger injectors when you really load the engine. Watch your engine temps. High heat is a sign of a lean condition. Avoid this at all costs. You can do a lot of damage on a LS1 if you overheat it!

Change the injectors either at the tuner or just before you go as the mapping will not be correct for that size injector.

Good Luck

You can drive it, but it wont be as much fun. Save up a couple bucks for a tune, and you'll like your car a whole bunch more !

Yes, you can drive it no problem, with the stock injectors.

Do not install the 42# until at the tuners.
