Default Disc Change install C5

Howdy I'm installing a JVC 12 disc changer in my wifes C5 with the factory single disc Bose system. Got everything figured out as far as placement but when I got to the connections (piggy backin) the RF/antenna coax I could not find the end where the pony tail from the radio connects to the actual coax from the "in glass" antenna. Before I totally disassemble the intire dash I fugured it would be prudent to cry out for HELP. Also would like some guidance on the best way to make my +, -, and memory connections. If this was a Chevette I'ld just cut twist & tape but .....

First, you probably should post this in the "General Corvette - Audio and Electronics" forum. Folks over there can probably answer this one in their sleep.

I'm not sure why you need an antenna connection, but the coupe has an antenna module that the two antennas mounted in the front and rear glass connect into. The radio, of course, also connects via coax to this module.

The module is located behind the driver. it is mounted low down to the side of the car just behind the drivers door.

To get to it you have to remove the door sill plate, then the lock pillar trim panel. The unit will now be exposed.

The coax going into the top of the unit is from the rear window antenna. The coax going into the side of the unit goes to the radio (radio end is marked "antenna in") and the coax going into the bottom of the unit is the front windshield antenna.

That's about all I can offer .... not sure what you need for memory or the speaker connections ... I'm sure the audio group will be of more assistance.

Thank you very much. We solved that one but the next one is keyed power (in a civilized manner). Found multiple always hot taps in the fuse box and out but I'm now stumped for a keyed lead. Think I found the infamous 10 pin connector but got no always hot & gave up after that Oh they were 12 pins with 2 empty slots and 6 empties. Thanx muchKwlvet PS this is actually her husband who has a blown 04 Muskrat GT Talk about acrimony.

In the passenger footwell (unless you have a 2004) behind the toeboard you will see a fuse block and to its left a silver box. Look between the two and you should see three wires taped together with no connectors on them.

The BLACK wire is ground .... the ORANGE wire is powered off of Fuse 7 and is hot at all times. The YELLOW wire is ispowered off of fuse 11 and is hot only when the ignition key is in the ACC or ON positions. These wires were intentionally installed to power third party devices.
