Thunder Racing Cam Goes in Today!
Taking my car down to the shop to be de-virginized today.......I'll post results as soon as the mods are completed. Car will be dynoed mid-January.....wish me luck...... :cheers:

Chris - I went with the Thunder 220/220 114 cam - the cam spec card says it is a 220.5/220.5 113.5. You are my first choice when it comes to getting my heads done.......

Man, I've been lookin for you to post on this for weeks! This is the cam I've been considering. Are you getting it done at that place in Monrovia? What did TR say about new springs, rods and re-programming? Any of that necessary?

:cool: deal!! Let us know how it performs and if you can really feel the difference. Mine (MTI T1 cam) gets installed tomorrow. I also want Chris (Speed Demon) to install my heads once I choose them as well. I have to recover from the XMAS spending before I get my heads. :yesnod: I can't wait to feel the difference with the new cam, heads and l/t headers! :cheers:

Richie - comp's new 918 springs (made specifically for the LS1 up to .6 lift), hardened pushrods are going in as well. I am only using a hypertech to raise the rev limiter - there is no need to get custom tuning with this cam....

Oh yeah - if everything goes well and I get sick of the newfound power too quickly, I think I'm gonna add a TNT 100 wet shot to make things a little funner :D

So who's doing your install. I'm taking my car to Guldstrand Engineering for the Transgo and TTS header install tomorrow, but still am pricing the install of my cam. Jeff

Mark at Andy's Auto in Monrovia is doing the install. He is a favorite of the LS1 guys around here. Here are his prices:

Had a nice talk with Mark today at Andy's Auto, he is very knowledgeable and I was very impressed.
I saw your car and it was looking good. He said he started yesterday. The Cam, valve train package and the underdriver pulley were installed. He said, he could do my car in a day and a half, since I don't need headers. Great price that I can live with.
