Anyone with a C5 in N. TX having problems with their vehicles not passing emissions tests w/mods such as cams/stage II heads and l/t headers. Just making sure before I incorporate all these mods into my 98 C5. Thx
Allegedly a well tuned LT-1 can pass a sniff test even without cats. Seems like the LS-1 could too.
I've also heard this, don't know if there is any truth to it or not.
I don't have my emissions report anymore, but I had passed the emissions sniff test with my slightly modified LT1 and no cats. I had the LT4 hot cam, 1.6rr, intake and exhaust. It was tuned by Ed Wright. :) The following year it had failed. I don't recall what was out of spec, but the guy doing the test did something ;) to make it pass. The car was down a little on power so something was probably fouled. I sold it shortly after. :D
he could mean they're "tack" welded on instead of laying on the floor of the garage but most likely he meant "in tact" as opposed to being removed or "gutted"
Leave Quin alone now.......they spell funny at LSU :jester
