Default Electrical Harness Help

I noticed this connector was open. It looks green from corrosion & am wondering if anyone knows what it's for? It is located on the passenger side by the headlights & the on the right of the air filter. Everything seems to work headlight wise.(if thats whats it's for.) Wondering if it's for a sensor. I am thinking it may be disconnected for a reason so I am leary of reconnecting it.

Looks like it may be for the underhood lamp which I don't have anymore since I have a Lingenfelter hood?
I guess since everything is currently working I will leave it alone

Is that the temp sensor? As you can tell I'm guessing and after looking at it again it appears to be to far in, unless reloacted.
