Default Dreaded radiator flush

Ive real many of the threads re/coolant sys flush and renewal, and have 1 question. Has any one used any type of a chemical flush through the system before replacing the dex cool/water mix?
Is this a bad idea?

In the Service Manual for the Corvette the first item under the category "Cooling System - Flushing" is ....

* Do not use a chemical flush

So, it probably is not a good idea ....

That's funny because I just had mine flushed at the dealer after 10 years of use. They used chemicals and Dex-cool. No issues and I feel much better that the original fluid is out...

Maybe you have a problem and just don't know it yet.
If you change your antifreeze often enough and do not use water with a lot of minerals to cause deposits, you should not need to flush.
If you drain the antifreeze and it still looks clean, just add new antifreeze.
Even if the coolant still looks good, you should replace it to make sure the corrosion inhibitors have not been depleted.

Same here. Flushed last year at dealer. Used chemicals and new coolant.
