Default Will I Need To Flycut Pistons?

I have a G5X4 Cam and 243 heads with larger valves to go in my '02 Z. Will I need to Flycut the pistons?

Thanks,

John

Yes, it's worth it. Cutting the pistons is no big deal.

if you can thread a hole with a tap, you can fly cut your pistons.

I would suggest using a tap handle on the cutting tool and not a drill as well. THe aluminum is very easy to cut and very very easy to cut to much with all the weight of the drill pressing onto the little stop.

Having never done it, I was very happy with my results.

I would not advise using a drill either.

I cut the first notch by hand, then used a 3/8" air ratchet to do the rest...it doesn't turn nearly as fast, and doesn't have the torque of a drill. I found it worked really well, still provided a lot of "feel" and control, and definitely saved some time and arm work.
