Default Drivers seat memory has a brain fart.......

Every time I get into my 2k the seat memory puts the seat in a different place. I adjust the seat and reset the memory and the next time it loses it's mind again

Any ideas??????

Do you have "easy entry" turned on? That moves the wheel forward and the seat backward to allow easy entry/exit.

Also, are you using the same key fob each time? If you unlock the car with one, then insert the other one in the ignition, the seat will move to the position dictated by the fob that unlocked the car. This happened to my wife and I on our trip. She unlocked the car (fob 2) but when I started it using fob 1, the seat started to move to position 2; it was quite the scene. She's several inches shorter than I am, and I was getting scrunched!

Easy entry is on. There is only one set of keys on one fob being used.

Upon entry the seat, heat, mirrors, steering wheel, etc should go to the presets except for the heat and mirrors which I believe go to the last settings.

My seat goes wherever it feels like

Well, I've expended my ideas on this. Might PM Bill Curlee, the electrical guru, and see if he has any ideas. Good luck!

I have the exact same problem! It makes me crazy some days! I first noticed my seat would not go forward or backwards from time to time. After that I experienced the random moving of the seat and mirrors every time I got in. I searched the forum and found out that if you wiggle the wires under the seat that connect to the seat controls sometimes that fixes the problem. They also recommend to reseat the connections and check for dirt etc and clean up the connection. Luckily after the clean my seat has stayed in the position I left it in...but from time to time my forward/backward controls still wont work. I just wiggle the wires and most of the time it works. Very frusterating though! Good luck with the fix and please let me know how it goes!
