C5 Stock Head Differences?
Can someone give me a quick rundown on the differences in the C5 heads (by year, casting number, LS1, LS2, LS6, flow numbers, etc).

LS1 97-00 806 or 853 casting
LS1 00-04 241 Casting
All LS1 Heads are supposed to flow the same, but some say the older castings weren't as good for whatever reason.
LS6 01-04 243 Casting (02+ Sodium Filled Valves)
LS2 05+ 243 Casting
Obviously better flow numbers on the 243s, but I think it's mostly at high RPMs.

Compression goes from 10.5 to 10.8 going from the 853/241's to the 243's due to the smaller combustion chamber (I think they went from 62cc to 59cc but I could be wrong). 241's supposedly flow much better than the 853's, there is a post somewhere on the forum several years back explaining the differences in detail. Do a search, this has been outlined in a thread several times.
