Front suspension knocking noise
Just recently I've started hearing a knocking noise from the front suspension going over sharp bumps. I don't hear anything though when cruising along on smooth highways. I have an '03 Z lowered on stock bolts with cut bushings and Bilstein sport shocks. The suspension mods have been done quite a while ago so it's not something that was recently done. I also very recently replaced both front wheel hubs. The shocks also have VB&P urethane upper bushings. I haven't had a chance to look under the car yet but looking for any info to guide me in the right place to look. Anyone had similar problems? Also have stock sway bars, bushings and metal links.

Grease
I also lowered my C5 and cut the bushings. There was very little rubber left. After some time a clunking sound developed. I was told it was the shocks bottoming out. I eliminated the noise by greasing the point of contact of the bushing and the control arm. it was an instant cure and has lasted for about 6 weeks. Hope your fix is as simple.
