Default MN6 with 3.73 gears step inside

I am interested in your opinions on the performance and MPG differences you experienced over the stock 3.42. I spent an hour searching but most threads where A4 related.

Thanks

PS My Vette is mainly a weekend warrior but I do drive it to work a couple days a week.

Most will tell you it isn't worth the $$ to change from 3.42 to 3.73's. I have a Z06 and I am going with 3.73's though. Mine is a weekend car that I want to take to the strip. I am having RPM Transmissions build & install. Been told no real mileage decrease but I really don't care!

i would do the 3.90's with the mn6. that is a great combo for a d/d car and for performance. i have 3.90's in my z with the mn12 and have not lost very much out on the highway and find i can use 6th gear around town. the mn6 and 3.90's are the perfect choice. the first three gears will be about the same as the stock mn12 with 3.42's but you will find 6th gear will be more usable. it will wake the car up quite a bit too.

I am in the same situation as I plan to do gears very soon in my FRC. But from everything I have read, I am leaning towards the 4.10's.

My car is typically driven on weekends with 1 or 2 trips to work each week.

Mark do not waste your money. All you need is 3.90s with the power mods you have. I will not put 3.73s in a MN6/MN12 unless I am running 750+ rwhp.
