AC issues, could use advise...
Hi, All:
I'm having what seems like a common A/c issue with my 99 vert. Driver's side blows warmer air and less volume than pass side. Pass side is ice cold and blowing hard. Driver's is okay, not hot, but also not blowing as hard as pass. Also, air is leaking up into the vent on the dash and fogging the windshield.
If I take this in to the dealer, any thoughts on how much it'd be. I've been reading about all the fixes and just wondered how much I should set aside or whether I should live with this for a while, although I am in Florida. Thanks in advance...

I just fixed this problem on my 98.
Some people recommend pulling the battery cable overnight.. I suppose that might fix it.. but the bottom line is that if the computer cannot align the duct/door, it gives up and never tries again!! It does set a DIC code, but will not light the service indicator.
Clearing the DIC code causes it to re-try the alignment.. In my case, it worked and has been fine for about a month. On other cases, there is a problem with the gears on the duct door and you have more serious issues.
