Does anyone know where I can get cat sims cause of course after I punched out the cats on my 99 hardtop the engine light went on. Or does anyone have another fix.
I just picked up a set brand new. If you want the info, you can PM me. I haven't used them yet, but the vendor sells them regularly.
id be carefull with that.....part of caspers deal with the EPA was they had to hand over all of there customers information. I would think that the guys still selling them, if caught would be required to do the same
Why did you punch out your cats? when you do this, you can cause turbulence in the housing making your engine make LESS power. You also wasted 160 dollars you could of made by selling your cats to a scrap broker. Noise does not equal power. If you question that, look at a Harley.

I'd disagree with that. I'd bet that the less restriction would outweigh any turbulence caused by punching them out.

HIDs are also just as illegal, but people still use them regularly.

Have you ever studied the characteristics of airflow? When a small pipe is introduced to a larger area, it creates a swirling wave pattern because the pressure is reduced and the air is allowed to expand.
