I saw a while back someone had a great list of instructions for installing the West Coast Corvettes Air Bag Decal. After a search of the topics and a review of the tech tips, I cannot seem to find those instructions. If any one still has them or has any suggestions, please let me know!
Also, I got the chromed door rocker rails! Any great suggestions? They look real easy!
Here's a tip on installation. First, be sure to clean the dash surface well using alcohol. Remove each decal being sure not to handle the adhesive side.
I used an exacto knife to lift the decal. With the decal lying on the end of the blade, carefully position it in the recess on the dash. Use a stylus instrument to press in place and remove any air bubbles. I whipped out the stylus from my Visor pda, and it worked perfectly. It would not tear or stretch the vinyl decal at all. Remember to remove the top film from the decal before installation if you desire a shiny finish to your decal. It can be removed easily by pulling up at a corner. Again, the exacto works great for this. Take your time, and they'll turn out perfect. If you don't have the best eye hand coordination, get a friend to do it for you.
Nommo 53,
Thanks for the installation tip. I had seen where others had used an exacto, but was not sure the best method for this, I want it to look good, and for the price of the decal, I don't want to have to order another one.

I used the exacto and it looks perfect! :) Take your time and you'll be fine.
The only thing I would add to the above is to make sure you clean the area where the letters will go with mineral spirits to remove any silicon residue. Then, rub it with denatured alcohol. Don't use rubbing alcohol, as it can leave a residue. Surface preparation is very important. If there is any silicon residue, the letters will eventually peel.
Cleaned surface with alcohol, applied a bead of Super Glue with a tooth pick for extra adhesion. Remove letters with a set of tweezers and put in place, patience is the key.
