oil pressure gage and electrical problem
I read the oil pressure sending unit thread and replaced the sending unit with the Buick one in the original location.
There was no reading on the oil pressure dash gage and a 129psi reading continually on the digital before the replacement.
Now the digital reads 40psi at idle and goes up with acceleration but the dash gage hasn't moved. Is the dash gage bad or do I need to reset something? It may not be related but, the left turn signal indicator in the dash isn't working but it hasn't for a while.
On another track. At the same time I replaced the oil sending unit, I started replacing a bad vacum line from the back of the intake. My AC had gone to default. Had to take the battery out and now I have no radio. My seat memory stayed but the fob memory or recognition was lost. My radio did not have the anti theft on. At least the light wasn't flashing. The on/off push button of my radio was not working. I just turned it down instead of off. Don't know if that makes any difference.
Any ideas on either or both problems?
Oh, by the way, I now have vacum to the canister but the controls at the dash still aren't switching the air flow to floor and defrost. I will pull the glove box door and fuse panel tomorrow and see if I am getting vacum through the fire wall.
Thanks for all the info so far!!
