Approx. Build date??
Can anyone help me with this? My dad is considering a 01 ZO6. Here is the VIN#1G1YY12S715125980
The reason he asks is because GM High Tech Performance mag article that discusses the differences between the 01 and 02 engines mentions pistons and coatings. It said in the article that the piston/ring change over was in April, I believe. He was just curious to know when that car may have been built. I know he could look on the door for the month, but he is planning on buying the car tomorrow and would like some more info.

It was built on Wednesday, March 21, 2001. (That also happens to be my birthday). Production for that day started with VIN ....125956 and ended with ....126114.
