Default Vararam-B2 install questions.

Hi there -

I ordered a VR-B2 from: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...595&highlight=

It notes that you do not have to remove fog lights to install; however, the step by step directions that were sent to me show that you do.

Am I missing something? I've already left messages, but was hoping someone could help a little quicker.

Thanks,

Grant

I have not ordered or installed one yet but have researched it a lot. I think what they mean is that you do not have to keep your fog lights removed because the V2 acccomodates them. You have to take them out and re-install with the Vararam in place. I think the older version did not allow you to keep the fogs.

What they mean is you will transfer your fog light assemblies to the Vararam integrated fog light shrouds. You will still have use of the factory foglights in their factory position.

Good luck on the install. Take your time and it will come out great

No dumb.....we all are learning.

People at work say I am really smart and I tell them that's because I've seen and made more mistakes

I was going to suggest finding this . It was a great help for me in my install. The instructions I got with my Vararam two years ago were pretty vague. I guess for some reason, they still don't use the ones Cajundude made. The pictures are a real help too.As others have said, Take Your Time. It is a pain, but it's well worth the effort.

I just finished putting in a vararam in my 2003 vert. Took about 4 hrs taking my time. I used the procedure by cajundude (excellent). It fit well..only problem was the removal and reinstalling the large radiator baffle.
