Do I need to install a resistor on a 99 when converting to HID lighs? They are 35W, made by Galaxy Power.............The instructions ONLY talk of upgrading the 15W fuse to 20W.............
You need it with some and not with others. The issue is the headlight doors don't close when you turn the lights off. Change to high beam for a second to close them.
There is a vendor here that sells a very nice in-line resistor that fixes the problem. Completely plug and play for about $15.00
I saw this ad in here the other day and no I can't find the link to it.
Vendor had in line relay/resistor for headlights on sale for $15-16..........
Anyone know who the vendor was???????????
The one from the vendor here is plug and play though. Right connectors and is in a heavy heat sink case. Impressive quality. And for $15.00 not worth looking anywhere else or trying to get something to work in with cutting your wires.
