I'm no expert, but I have put over a dozen new tires on my covettes (not to mention the other ten cars I've owned). I have purchased cars with mismatching tires and never had uneven ware on the the tires due to being different brands. Only thing that I have had affect my tires is air pressure and pedal pressure . I say go ahead and change me out. I would do the same if I were at that point. You just may wanna stick with the same tread pattern as to not get made fun of as you pimp your ride around the next mustang car show (as I like ta do ).

I have had Goodyears and Khumos on my vettes and have loved both brands equally. I am actually getting ready to order the Goodyear Eagle F1 all-seasons for my vette here soon. They have a carbon fiber insert in the side walls for better stability. This will make the sidewalls act a little more like the runflats. Which may cut down on the possiblity of having ware issues due to different tires. But the tread pattern is COMPLETELY different that the eagle f1's that are factory....

Just my .02 cents.
