What's the best way to remove the side molding from my car?

Use keywords "bsm removal" or "body side molding removal".

You'll have plenty to read...

Heat gun and fishing line worked for me.

i used heat gun + wd40 and fishing string.

I used a heater to warm the entire side of the car then used fisshing line to start. I then pulled them off using a soft plastic body filler piece to cut the glue. Worked great. Keep the surface warm to make glue removal easier.
