I pulled these........U1016 (loss of communication w/PCM, U1255 (serial data line malfunction) and a few others. They were all followed by and H, so I guess that means that they are in history. Am I going to have problems, what do I do, do I clear these codes or what. Tell me/tell me. Thanks good people
Re: FOLLOW-UP...I pulled these codes from DIC (MilYellow02)
Hey Now:
The loss of communication codes are pretty common. No worries with these codes. And yes, the H does mean it is in history. I clear codes and then check for new codes every few weeks. Hope this helps. :yesnod:

That is a fairly common occurence, and I have seen them a few times. I wouldn't worry about it. Just check once in awhile.

I posted this in your other thread:
I suspect you still have a problem waiting to happen. There is most likely a short or open circuit somewhere in you car's serial data line. (Translation, bare wire or loose connection) The problem may never occur again, or it may happen tomorrow. If it ever happens again, be sure to write down all of the codes for each module, then we can help you pin it down.
BTW, after the DIC cycles through all of the modules and codes automaticly it goes into manual mode. You can then step through the codes for each module by pressing 2 (GUAGES) for forward and 1 (FUEL) for back. You can change modules by pressing 4 (OPTIONS) for forward and 3 (TRIP) for back. When you are done press 5 (E/M) to exit the DTC mode. You need to capture all of the codes for each module. Several modules may have the same code number but you need to write them all down to pin-point where the problem is.
