Default What's the proper oil temp?

What's the proper oil temp when the engine is warmed up? Around town, stop & go, I see temps at 220-225 when the coolant rises above 205 or so. When I run on the highway and for distances, the coolant stays at 194 but the oil is usually in the 215 range. Is this normal?

That is normal with stock radiator and no oil cooler.

It is also not a problem with the synthetic motor oil you are most likely running.

Most synthetics will still be effective in the 250-270 deg ranges.

those temps are exactly what I am running in the 02 Z.
Even on the 95, oil temp is 20 degrees higher than coolant temp
