I hope someone can help with this because it's driving me crazy. I have a 2000 convertible, motor and regulator went bad on pass. side, I replaced it no problem, got the assembly from regulator usa. The problem is that now the window switch (just the pass. side control button on both doors) up is down, and down is up! Every other button on both doors works fine! Is there some way to reset the system. The motor crapped out when I hit the button to drop the top, I don't know if this had something to do with it. Also with the new regulator the window does not lower it self when the convertible top switch is pressed. Other than the reversed operation and the window not going down for the vert top, the assembly works perfect! Anybody have any ideas????????
Seems that this company “regulatorusa.com” is a rebuilding service. If you purchased a rebuilt unit it is likely that they reversed the motor wiring. If you still have your old unit compare the electrical plug to see if the plugs are wired the same.
You stated that BOTH door switches are reversed, so I think the problem is the wiring if the motor to its connector plug.
Did you save much money taking this route compared to purchasing a NEW unit (at a discount) from a forum vendor such as Gene Culley at GMPartsHouse.com?
