Help,
I scratched the bottom on one of my Corsa tips coming out of a drive way.
Any advise on ways to get it out? It is not real noticable, but would like to try and minimize the damage since I know it is there.
I've got a friend who uses steel wool to get scratches out of his crome he says it is a pain in the butt because you have to polish and polish to get it back to a good finish after you get the scratch out. If you can't see it I would leave it alone
I sucessfully removed some scratches from my Corsa tips using progressively finer sandpaper and then polishing with rubbing compound.
They look great now.
Start with 240 grit and wet sand , then go to 400, 1000 and finally 1500 grit.
Keep the area being sanded to a minimum so you reduce the amount of additional work needed.
At that point the tips should look " brushed" and the compound will polish them up.
Good luck.
Pat :)
"Now, where did I put that Dremel tool...?" :smash:
