There is a tiny leak somewhere on the back of my car. Maybe a cap-full or 2 of trans fluid over the last 5 months. I tried to tighten up any bolts I could see, but no good.
Where might it be coming from? Is this common and how do I fix it? IT looks like it is coming from where (I think, been several months since I looked) the trans mates to the rearend section. OR atleast that general area.
Any ideas? Will give me something to do over winter i guess.

Yeah, degrease, wipe down, and look for the point of origin.
I had fluid coming from the vent tube in mine. Turns out the previous owner had over-filled it. It was gathering in that same spot (seam between tranny and diff housing).
The easiest way to clean and determine the leak is to use a spray bottle of brake cleaner and a bunch of newspaper under the area. Spray the area down, the old oil drops to the paper. Drive for a day or two and take a look. For most people, the leak becomes obvious.
My car is leaking from the actual drain pan. I notice a couple of drops here and there.
Cause: The last performance shop that worked on my car installed the exhaust pipes incorrectly. They were rubbing one side of the pan which caused slight damage to the pan and seal.
I have had the seal replaced and spent plenty of time to remove the WELDS from my exhaust pipes and re-install them correctly. Less leaking now but the pan was permanently damaged.
I am replacing the whole tranny with a level IV RPM next month . Problem solved!
If it is leeking at the seem between the two halves of the transmision case (near the rear of the tranny, it has to come out and they re-seal it. Plan on about $1,600. If its the left differential seal, plan on about $400. Ive had both.
