Well, I wasn't the one who actually painted them. Had a local guy do it.
This was a longer process then I thought. He removed the calipers and sprayed the entire caliper with RED Engine paint. Let them dry in the sun for about an hour - then added a second coat along with a gloss. Baked in the sun for another 2 hours. After that, he added a final gloss coat. He said the gloss would be permamanent, which I have some doubts but time will tell. He also repainted the outer clips (for lack of a better word) that the calipers attach to black and glossed those as well (this was actually the very first thing he did).
Anyway, when the calipers were dried, he used a machine to remove the RED paint from the letters. I could not believe the results. I was going to get the paint kit and try it myself. Boy am I glad I didn't. It was well worth the $100 that he charged me to do it - I mean he put a lot of work into it. Excluding the drying time, I would say at least 2 hours of work went into it.
Unfortunately, no pics - but they look awsome! Any tips on keeping them that way or just plain washing them with a hose should do the trick?
Shop is called vetteXperts in Pompano Baech, Fl. They do a lot mechanical and performance work on vettes and they have a body shop right next door.
I did fail to mention that he had to charge me $25 to bleed the system since he opened up the lines. But when I saw the finished product, the additional $25 didn't phase me in the least!!!

I painted mine (black) myslef and unfortunately I don't really like the way they came out. :( I did one caliper at a time over the course of about 5 days. I bought the Rustoleum gloss paint and brushed it on. It looks good from about 5 feet away. :D I would of gladly paid $100 for a better paint job! I'm considering upgrading my brakes to the Wilwood set up so I'll probably get rid of these calipers soon. ;)
