Default Diff between G90 and G92 rear end?

I have both these RPO codes listed on my sticker in the glove box.
My car is an 00 and according to the 00 RPO code list they shown as the following:

G90 Axle, Rear, 3.15 Ratio
G92 Axle, Rear, Performance Ratio

Why are both called out can someone clarify this for me.

Thanks

I believe G90 is saying that it is a limited slip diff.

The G92 is saying it is the performance ratio, 3.15 , for an auto trans, for your car.

I’m just taking an educated guess at this. Somebody else may be able to clarify further for you.

By the way, your avatar is cool. I have that transformer. I also special ordered a yellow one from Japan to match my car! Hopefully Tracks will be in the next movie!

Thanks, I think Tracks is going to be based on the new C7.
It's so true in my case, as soon as I get in one of my Vettes I become part of it or it becomes a part of me.

G92 says you have an optional ratio.

G90 specifies that optional ratio as "3.15"

seems kinda silly because there was no other optional ratio other than the 3.15 for the A4's... but maybe there was an additional ratio originally planned for the C5 A4 - that AlGore wouldn't allow.

My 03, A4, came stock with a 2:73 ratio. Although, now it has the 3:42 ratio and a stall converter.
