My 2000 has started idling a little rough and sort of stumbles on acceleration right between 1000-1200 RPMs. It runs fine once you get above that. On the highway it's fine unless I'm in 6th gear at 55 or 60 MPH and give it some gas. Mileage hasn't been affected either.
I changed the plugs about 300 or 400 miles ago. Not because I really needed to, just wasn't sure how old they were. A couple are such a pain to change that I hate pulling them to see if I have one fouled out. This sound like plugs? I thought maybe bad gas at first but on 2nd tank and it seems to be getting worse. Is becoming a pain in town. I'm wondering about injectors needing cleaning.
My 1999 is doing the exact same thing. Check engine light NOT ON. 105g on origional plugs.
Could it be something called Idol control module? I had to replace both of the ICM's on my Baja .38 Special's 496Mag Ho.s.
Look at the PCV valve's connection tube to the intake. It can and will collapse with holes in it. This will cause this kind of problem for sure as it happened to me. Especially look at the bottom side of the connection tube.

Did u checked other thread, he replace by gmpp red wires and plugs, and experience same problem, and so iam, please check that post, and its bcos wires boot at plug end has vaccum and too much dielectric greese.
May want to try and clean the MAF elements. Get a can of Electronic Cleaner (there is a special one sold for cleaning MAF's as well) and spray them liberally. Let the residual drip off (don't touch or brush the little wires and components) and air dry.
Also check for any cracks or loose connections from the MAF up to the throttle body.
How about an intake manifold leak? My Tahoe with the 5.3 LS engine started doing the same when the weather turned cold. It took several days of driving it before the CEL came on and showed a lean condition on both banks.
Local mechanic found the leak by using the propane injection method.
Well last night I did the cleaning of the MAF and throttle body and the car still seems to do it. I just put MSD's and Iridium plugs in the car about 6 months ago (Wires were used, from a buddy for about 4k miles, and I put another 4k on them) Would they really be an issue already?
My car did the same thing 3-4 years ago. Dump out all the codes in the DIC and check for heated O2 sensor codes. I roasted two of mine and replaced them all. The issue went away after that. Unmetered air making it into the motor could do it too. (ie. air leak)
i just replaced my plugs about 1500 miles ago and only when im at idle in gear my car has a little roughness to it every 5 seconds or so. weird other than that its totaly fine. i put bosh iridiums in
