Default Need help with tranny seal???

I recently took my 02 Z06 in to the chevy dealer to replace the diff seal and tranny seal because they were both leaking($1700). No big deal because it was still under warranty from the dealer I bought it from not even 90 days ago. The chevy dealer finally gets to it and tears it apart telling me that its going to be another $850 in parts because they have to replace a bunch of parts just to get to the seal and the warranty company is giving me crap, as of right now they are pretty much declining it. They said they have to go in from the front of the tranny to get to the seal. Is it really necessary to pretty much rebuild the transmission just to get to a seal?

Tell everyone what warranty company it is so that we wont be victimized by this kind of crap. I had it happen to me on some minor tailight crap...the dealer went over the allocated diagnosis time so I had to pay 100.00 more...crap scams if you ask me.

I'm pretty sure it is true. Give RPM a call to confirm...

The warranty company is through whoever the dealer I bought it from uses for their 3 months or 3000 miles. It seems to me that they would have to pay it. I just hope it all works out because I wouldn't have taken it in right away if I knew it was going to be $850 because the leak really wasn't that bad. Does anybody else know anything about replacing the main rear seal?
