Default Brake and Rotor Replacement

Does anyone know of a website that explains how to replace the front and rear brakes and rotors, specifically how to reset the emergency brake cable? Just trying to get educated before I dive into this project tomorrow.

brakes are the easiest R&R job. It's all self explanatory once you get in there. Just make sure you have something to reset the caliper pistons with. Like a pad spreader or C-clamps. Then just look up e-brake adjustment. I believe they are drum style so you won't need more than a flathead to adjust them

I understand they are an easy R&R, but I'm pretty positive a C5 does not have drum brakes.
Still looking for info on resetting the e-brake.

Once you have the calipers and brackets removed, most likely you will need to give the rotors several good blows with a rubber mallet to loosen up the rust and then the rotors should come right off. Once the rotors are off on the rear, you will see a star shaped wheel at back of each rear rotor. Use a flat tip screwdriver to click the star wheel out a few turns which will adjust the emergency brake pads out. Keep test fitting the new rotor over the emergency brake pads to make sure you have not went too far. If you cannot get the rotor to go on over the pads you will need to turn the star wheel back a little until the rotor fits over the pads.

It's a piece of cake job. No need to worry. If replacing the rear rotors, new e-brake shoes may be a good idea. Inspect them for cracks or wear.
