Emissions and headers in NY
Just trying to make a decision. Is there a difference in sound between LG Pros and LG Streets, on a stock car other than vararam and borla stinger? Also is there a difference between with and with out cats. If I went with no cats can you pass emissions in NY or what? Also if I won't be getting a tune for a little while is there some sort of O2 simulator I need.

Here are my thoughts. I am sure others will have differing opinions. If you have the money, go for the LG Pros. However, if you are on a budget, the streets should serve you well. I decided to go with the AR header on my setup. I am running hi-flow cats and O2s.
If you can, I highly recommend you let a professional install your headers and do the tune at the same time. You will then get the most out of your setup. It is well worth the time and money. You might want to give Carmen a call over at the Vette Doctors.
I do not recommend running without Cats and as far as O2 sims are concerned, I heard you could not longer obtain these. All this being said, there are guys out there and on this forum running without cats. I just had a PM from a guy in NY who is running LGs, no cats, and failed emissions the first go around. After getting some advise from a supporting tuner here on CF, he was able to do some tuning and pass NY emissions. According to him, you can have 2 out of 5 emissions systems Not Ready on the OBDII test in NY and still pass. Good luck with your project.
