From the very first time I realized that my Y2K Hardtop did not have an outside temperature reading I have been on the search for something to fill my need. I found mirrors but they did not have the reading lamps that you need in the Hardtop so I continued my search. After 2.5 years finally Donnelly Corp. came out with the perfect replacement. I happened to be web surfing and stopped in at “lovecars.com” to find they carried this mirror. To make a long story short, I contacted “Lovercars” and purchased my new mirror. It is now installed and doing the job. I actually got more than I bargained for as it also has a compass plus is self dimming
The dimensions for this mirror are almost the same as the stock mirror. Width is the same but the height is 9/16” larger as this is due to the Temp and Comp readouts. Nothing is in the glass.
Installation was straight forward and took me about two hours. Ernie from “Lovecars” makes up a wiring harness that makes the job so much easier. I have listed his web address below if you are interested. He also posts his pricing. http://www.lovecars.com/store/indexmirrors.htm
Thanks anselboyce Great Tips!!
I have been looking for an auto dimming mirror, I get the outside temp in my AC Display, but I have missed the compass, I live in florida and everything is flat! so it is so much simpler with a compass in the car when I'm lost.
Do you know if they accept Creditcard over phone order or must I use this PayPal online?
How long did it take from you ordered it to you resieved the mirror?
'Ace', Here are the pictures you asked for and for 'Eikeland', you will need to contact them about credit cards. As for how long it took to get it, well I am in So. Calif. as they are and I think if took one day from the time I decided I wanted the mirror.
