Default Harmonic Balancer Replacement Question

Had the original Dorman balancer fail on my 98 coupe. I have read all the posts on how to replace this as well as I own an FSM for the car.
Tried to buy a direct replacement Dorman OEM unit. There is obviuosly a problem with them because nobody has them with the exception of a few dealers that have then sitting on the shelf and asking $170+. Called Dorman direct and they are not going into production until mid November. Maybe they are addressing the failure issue.

Anyway, my question is I bought a Powerbond direct replacement unit and want to know, do I have to create an alignment point on the crankshaft and then attempt to match the Dorman to the Powerbond unit even though the hubs are manufactured and look different. Also, do I need to transfer any weights if the Dorman has then to the Powerbond unit or is the Powerbond unit already balanced and I just put it on.

All input appreciated - only want to do this job once !

Thanks
