Default Exhaust/H-pipe advice

Hello all,

I have a 98 automatic, all stock.

Well, the exhause pipe separated from the flange on my left side, and on the right side the flange separated from the H-pipe...all on the same day.

Did a temp fix with some of that JB weld, and the fix will hold until replacement.

I already had some titanium Z06 takeoffs that I need to install, so those are my rear parts. Question is...should I get a GM H-pipe or Borla? Thanks.

easiest to have the flange welded back on the H-pipe when u add the new mufflers, any exhaust shop can do it for minimal bucks

I had the same problem and went with a Bassani stainless X. The problem is the stock welds are crap, despite the stainless pipe.

Thanks,
I'm going to try to see if anyone will reweld the flange to the H-pipe. I drove the car from Stockbridge, GA to E-town, KY and my high speed JB Weld job did not hold...but the pipes aren't moving much. I hope the Ti pipes do better than these pipes did.

Rewelded both flanges to H-pipe, installed Ti exhaust, all fixed.

Good deal, the H-pipe sounds better anyway.
