Getreg rearend
So the Oem Rearend/Differential on the 02,03,04 Z06 Is Getrag????
I have experience with getrag rearends and am very impressed with the way they hold up to extremely over abusive drivers...Tho I wasnt sure this is what came on the Z
My friends 03 Z has what appears to be seepage around the rearend/diff case. It is very light, but apparent. The car functions flawlessly. Should he take any precautions? What would cause this..and I mean The actual failures themselves, not the fact that he drives his car real hard.

The clutch springs are highly prone to failure, but most folks don't even know that they're broken until they crack open the case and take a look. Next popular failure is from wheel hop which is a good guarantee that you'll break an output shaft.

It's not really leaking, more like weaping. Just enough to coat the differential case, not like it's dripping. I don't think it's anything to be concerned with, but at some point, he's going to want to replace those seals. Just keep an eye on the fluid levels.
However, if it is dripping, needs to get fixed right away.

Thanks for the info guys....Blownbluez06 I really like what you have done to your car....It is magnificent. Mine is blue too. Someday ECS will throw some twins on it and ill get some HRE's
