Default What did I do...HELP

My 99 6 speed baby has been having the intermittent no start problem which has just took a turn for the worst. I got to work and it would not start for the drive home. I called my Vett shop and they suggest replacing the key cylendar, which I did, and still nothing. So I started playing with the anti-theft relay but since I’m at work there was not much I can do. Where I think I got in trouble was when I removed the computer that is by the passenger foot rest I believe called the BCM, I disconnected it out of frustration and forgot to disconnect the battery that I must of done ten times before while replacing the key cylinder. Now I can’t retrieve any code. I have a bad feeling that I might have fried the computer. What did I do?

Just brought the Vett home..Well what I did was:
1. Replaced the Battery for a better stronger battery.
2. Replaced the key cylinder. I don't think it was the part of the solution but it takes I out of the equation for future troubleshoot.
3. Replaced the theaft deterant relay.
4. Did the 11 minute 30 second cycle of the start switch.

Unfortunately, it's probably going to return. Stop throwing parts at it, and dig into the service manual.

I'm having this same no start issue. Ive tried cleaning the grounds by my batt. The first time I thought I fixed the no start issue, my starter connections were loose. The cables didnt look in the best condition. It look like the cable was melted in some parts (like thicker cable in certain parts). How hard is it to replace those cables? Sorry dont mean to hijack your thread. But it could be any of these issues for both of us. good luck!

What's this do? I haven't heard of this. Any links to the procedure? I have the service manual on DVD and wouldn't know where to look for this.

Yeah, I'm not sure why the OP did this. The procedure is found in the "Body and Accessories/Theft Deterrent/Repair Instructions/Pass-Key Programming" section, and is suppose to be done after the replacement of a BCM or a new key.

Something like this just happened to me.. IT Very well might be your ignition Switch.. If you system doesn't draw enough Voltage threw the ignition switch, lots of Codes can come up and lead you to the wrong area. BILL CURLEE is the MAN.. Any other questions ask him...

Hi, A methodical place to start in troubleshooting a no start issue is pull the codes, and then do the following.
1, Load test the battery, pep boys, advance, and autozone usually don't charge for this service.
2, Make sure the batt cables are clean and tight, at the battery, ground, starter lug, and uh fuse block.
3, Clean all the grounds, there are 9 spots. SEE BELOW.
If that all checks out then you may need to look at the ig switch, starter solenoid, tdr, etc.
As for the cables that look uneven , the cables coming from the tdr, and the alt have a fusible link in them that is wider in spots then the cable. But if the bat cables look bad they probably should be replaced, if they are corroded in between the strands, they will build up resistance.
Good Luck

WHAT EXACTLY is your Car doing when you go to start it? Is it completly DEAD? Does it Crank and Not Fire? Are your DASH light FLASHING OR FLICKERING?
