Default Do "Speed Bleeders" work pretty well?

I would like to replace the brake fluid in my 2003 Coupe, and was wondering if the valved replacement bleed screws known as "Speed Bleeders" work all right for a one-man bleeding/fluid replacement operation? Any thoughts from those who have used them? Thanks, Ralph Boineau in central South Carolina

Ya. They are good, but just like regular blee screws just crack them open. Any more will cause air to leak in, but thats true of any bleed screw. I used a motive preasure bleeder that I barrowed, and then went to the speed bleeders. With the speed bleeders there is nothing extra to keep track of and its easier to keep the master cylinder topped off. But, with the motive you don't have to pump the brake, so less running around the car.

Be sure to get the right bleed sequence for your year Vette, it changed at one point like '01 or so.

Speed bleeders will make it a simple one person operation. Put a piece of tubing from the end of the bleeder into a catch can to eliminate any spilled fluid. The Motive pressure bleeders work well but must be thoroughly cleaned of all brake fluid after using

The proper sequence for 2000 and later is RR-LF-LR-RF

You are correct, the new sequence started with 2001.
