Broken Weld
I just picked up my new 2000 Convertible and was driving it back from New Hampsire to IL. The car only has 18,000 miles. about 500 miles into the trip the exhuast got loud and the left side pipes were looose. I got it into a Chevy dealer in Delaware OH, and found out the the plate on the pipe from the left side muffler broke at the weld ( Under drivers seat) They were able to weld it up for me to finish the trip, but they had another C-5 on the lift next to me with the same exact problem. The guy said he has seen quite a few. Has anyone else heard of this problem?

Was it the muffler side or the cat side of the flange that broke? I have seen this alot.
If your not happy with the repair, I have a couple used cat/H-pipe assemblies for sale if you need one. (Of course that is if that is what broke)
