just called the tire store to get pricing on new tires,got quote then the salesman asked if i wanted the tpm rebuilt ?i have never heard of a rebuild the car is a 2002 the store wants 15$ a unit to rebuild .is this a real service or salesmans BS thanks for any info Bruce

I would love to hear just exactly what they are going to do to rebuild them? some people have all the luck.... why dont I ever get these BS artist to offer me a TPM rebuild for 15 dollars.
If it's replacing the O-rings, $15.00 per wheel is a little steep (although replacing the seals any time the tire is broken down is a good idea as a preventive maintenance item).
If it's truly rebuilding the tpm, it's too cheap. Replacing the battery is relatively time consuming and the battery itself is probably a $3.00 part.
This has all the earmarks of being one of those places that offer blinker fluid and muffler bearing repair.
