Default z06 cluster problem

Hey my z06 cluster is dim around the 0- 10 mph range. I pulled the cluster and the bulb was not there. I put one in and it's just the same. Any ideas? I know the cluster has never been pulled before so I guess gl ships the car without the bulb installed

The faceplates are lit from the front by two Blacklight tubes on either side... If it's only dim in that small area I'd say both of your UV tubes are working. Does it have the Bezel Trim rings installed? Sometimes they throw a shadow...

I the lamps are dim, you are left with replacing the cluster as a whole unless you can find a source of supply for the lamps themselves. There is a high voltage power supply on the rear of the cluster to that might be having an issue, but it sounds like the lamps. I've got an extra IP Cluster for a non-Z06 if you are interested, but its never been plugged into the '99 that I gave away. I bought it off the auction site as a backup for those very lamps, just in case. No promises they are the same but most likely they are.
